10 weeks down...29 more to go!

These past 10 weeks have gone by incredibly slowly! I'm sure it's partly because I haven't been able to physically do much, aside from making a permanent ass mark in my now favorite couch cushion. The sickness is slowly going away and so is the fatigue...yay! Just as my world was getting better, a staph infection hit...in my nose. Who gets a staph infection in their nose?! Me, I'm apparently that skilled. The baby is looking absolutely wonderful and we go back to my OB on July 21st to see if we're having a Jackson Andrew or an Abigail Grace! I'm so extremely impatient, I cannot wait! Seeing the baby everytime we go into the office is such a relief. These have been a very stressful 10 weeks because of all the past problems.
I decided against doing a boutique I had scheduled for Saturday because of my infection. Ian had taken the day off to help and so while I felt horrible physically, there was no way that we were wasting the one day that we have with him at home! So we went to the Dino Park in Ogden! Rosalynn had a blast! As you can see, this kid is growing like a weed! She's already in a size 5! In a little more than a month, she'll be 3! I cannot believe how fast the time really does go! Before I gave birth to her, I cannot count how many people tole me to enjoy the time because it goes by before you know it. While I enjoyed her 3 wonderful years of life as much as humanly possible, it went by in the blink of an eye! That bit of advice is true and should be taken seriously :) Rosalynn LOVED seeing her little brother/sister last time we went. Or, as she calls the baby, her brother-sister. Everyone is one entity with her. I am Mommy-Daddy and Daddy is Daddy-Mommy.  She has really been enjoying writing her alphabet letters and drawing lately. We're hoping that we can get her into preschool this coming fall. If only she'll decide to potty train anytime soon, she'll be able to attend.  But unfortunately she is just as head strong as her mother and father, so she'll do it when she feels like it. I'm rather proud of her drawing abilities. I know every 3 year old draws the same, but when it's your kid, there's always a
sense of pride :) Although we have not yet grasped the concept of a neck, I'm very excited that what I've been teaching her about body parts looks like it's been sinking in! To your left you see Mommy, Daddy (with hair), and baby. Hahaha! I love how cute she is!
Ian has been doing wonderfully again! He's had a busy week up until now because there was a base-wide exercise going on. He's loving his responsibilities as a Staff!  He loves that he's also very trusted. He feels as if everyone comes
to him with things, trusting his knowledge and skills. We're very proud of him! He's been very supportive of my Tastefully Simple business, and by supportive I mean eats all of my goodies before I have a chance to have any :) He received his commendation medal a week or so ago. He got his nifty medal and his certificate to go along with it. Once again, VERY proud of him and his accomplishments.
It's tough to think that only 5 or so years ago, right before we were married, he had no real ambition in life and I had ambition but no drive to get to where I wanted to go. Without me, he would never have been pushed to join the AF like he had mentioned when we first started dating, and without him I would never have the support to pursue what I wanted in life. There are not very men who would work 2 jobs, to make sure that not only are their wife and kids taken care of, but to save to eventually pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to have their wife work with the deceased....and at the end of the day smile with support. I have a one of a kind! (And Mom, yes, you support me...but really, I have one of those, "You can be anything" mothers. I could work for the circus and she'd most likely still be proud of me. I appreciate it more than life, but a mommy is not always an objective view.) His theory is, "I work my ass off to support you and then when you're a doctor and I'm retired, I'll be sitting pretty". We'll take turns :) Now, he's getting ready to finish his degree and I'm taking my time finishing mine....kids, they take a lot out of you! To think we've come so far in only 5 years and in the next 5 years, if all goes according to plan, we will have 2 beautiful school-age children, Ian will be an officer, and I will be be applying to Med School...what?! When the hell did we grow up and become responsible adults?! :)
